The Hartley family has been in the fishing and boating all our life purchasing
our first boat, the Rainbow in 1996 in Wildwood. Then
moving to Ocean City in 1999 on 2nd Street
with the Rainbow II. We then purchased the
Rainbow III in 2000, a 65 foot
fiber glass boat. In 2003 we added the Family
Fisherman, a 40 pontoon boat for fishing
in the bay so we could provide both ocean and bay fishing for
our customers. In 2008 Capt Hartley sold the Rainbow
III with deep sadness due to the loss
of his slip. In 2011 Capt Hartley had an opportunity to move the Family
Fisherman to a new location in Sea Isle City
where he acquired the 63 year old business he
worked on as a child - the party
boat Capt Robbins. We hope to keep a
long running South Jersey tradition going for years
to come.
The Capt Robbins was started in 1949 by Capt Reds Robbins and than his son,
Neil Robbins, until he retired in 2011.
. .a second generation boat. Capt Hartley hopes
to keep the Robbins tradition alive with the guidance from Neil Robbins himself.
Capt Victor hopes to pass the vessels on to his sons
Ethan and Dylan Hartley. Who currently go out with dad
on the boats all the time to help. The boys have the
same love of the water their dad does
